Turquoise Dream
The work is a very complex piece of geometry. I absolutely love how the light catches the gold, and the turquoise colours. When you are creating this geometry it seems so very complex, and then at moments you recognise an utter simplicity...but then you lose it again when you look away! Very much like life I think!
It's a lovely piece to meditate on.
There are some pencil marks on the outside as it is a hand drawn piece and sometimes the geometry comes outside of the pattern. But that is the beauty of handmade work. You wouldn't notice the marks unless looking closely, and I don't notice them on the framed pieces I have like this in my home.
This mandala is created using pens, metallic paint and coloured pencils on Liberties paper.
