Cosmic Egg of the Rose
I very rarely rework a piece, but felt to with this painting which was originally called “Potential”…I guess it still had potential!
The night I began reworking it, I had a very strong dream in which I was painting a rose on a wall in a church by tracing a shadow that was falling on the wall…as though I was bringing it from shadow to this realm and giving it colour and depth.
I often dream of roses and in the dreams the Rose always seems to be coming into being…like flickering into this realm. The rose of course symbolises the divine feminine and so it certainly is an appropriate time to have such dreams. A healing process both personally and collectively for sure.
This painting is now called “Cosmic Egg of the Rose”.
The original painting measures 80cm x 80cm, acrylic and metallic pens on deep edge Italian canvas. It is available for sale and costs €1111. I am always open to people paying in instalments if that works better. PM me for further details.
