This painting pictured is called "Intention" was such a pleasure to create; it just seemed to flow and go its own way at times without much input from me it felt. Again, lots and lots of dreams. As always, the intention with the artwork is for healing and that is the energy it exudes. So there was intention, but there was also flow and allowing. The geometric flower of life morphs into an organic pattern and back into the geometric forms...the balance of masculine (action/structure) and feminine (allowing/organic) energies. Intentionality and also allowing are so important…in everything we do really! This is a universal phenomenon, occurring in all of nature and in the whole universe. So when we can balance the two, we are in harmony...universal synthesis!

I love this quote from the wonderful Carlos Castaneda:

“In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamens call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.”

However, sometimes we can hold our intentions too firmly...we get rigidly set on a particular outcome or goal. We grasp onto a fixed notion of how we want a situation or thing to be.  I often hear artists bemoan this...'it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to' or 'it's not as I envisaged' and often they will abandon the work to begin again in utter frustration.

We can do this in just about every area of life. Whereas if we can relax a little more, and allow what we perceive to be a mistake or a wrongness to lead us in a direction hitherto-fore unknown to us, we can land in the most magical of places! That is when co-create with the universe. We allow ourselves to be led into the unknown and perhaps out of our comfort zones yet still having an idea of our intention, just not as rigidly. And if indeed we do end up in a place we really did not want to go or thing we did not want to do, the 'mistake' serves as a learning tool to ensure that we do not repeat that action or pattern of behaviour. So nothing is ever a waste! Nature/The Universe wastes nothing. It is either a step in a new unknown creative direction, or it is a lesson we can learn in order to become better.

There are eight spheres in the painting rotating around a central flower which is filed with silver and golden light. To me the spheres represent the planets rotating around the sun, that centre point of balance. The centre represents that point of being that we want to reach to keep balance in order to successfully walk that line between intentionality and flow. Our point of synthesis.

Meditating on this piece will bring these ideas and elements into consciousness and balance within us. It will remind us not to grasp too hard but also not to let structure go completely to the wind.

The original painting measures 70cm x 70cm, acrylic paint and metallic pens on deep edge canvas and is still available to go to a forever home. It costs €1,100. I am always open to people paying in instalments if that works best. DM me if you think that forever home is your home.

The print measures 12 " x 12" (30cm x 30cm) and comes beautifully mounted (16" x 16")

The larger size measures 20" x 20" (50cm x 50cm) Limited Edition Prints come rolled safely in a presentation tube
