Seven Days of Creation: Online Mandala & Meditation Class (via Zoom)
Next Online Workshop
Dates will be announced soon!
"The Mandala workshop online was an absolute delight. For me it was profound, illuminating, playful and joyful and once. Patricia wove together many layers of knowledge and wisdom about this sacred geometry in a fascinating presentation, before guiding us in our own creative explorations. The whole experience was so enjoyable, as well as grounding and meditative. Mandalas are such a wonderful container for connecting more deeply to our own essence, while also tapping into the bigger patterns and intelligence that connect us all.
Doing the work via Zoom actually offered a lovely sense of holding, for us to connect and learn together, before delving into individual work in our own home spaces. Patricia holds a very safe, compassionate and encouraging container for this deep work, while conveying an infectious enthusiasm for it. We were taken on an incredible journey of discovery, expertly synthesised by Patricia. She wove together many layers and depths of the mandala from consciousness, energy, self-knowledge, healing, to synchronicities, symbols, numerology and so much more, in a magical and beautiful way.
I really felt I had been initiated into something sacred, It has opened up a sense of playfulness and enthusiasm for my own creative process, and given me a beautiful tool to ground and reconnect with myself and life more deeply. I look forward to attending another workshop in person as soon as possible! Delphine O'Keeffe
Venue:
The comfort of your own home via Zoom!
I am delighted to be bringing you this online Mandala and Meditation workshop so you can join from where ever you are in the world.
The work will happen over the course of the week, book-ended by the initiatory opening session (2.5 hours) and closed by a witnessing session where we share our work and experiences. This will be a time of creative introspection, community, nourishment and healing. Be guided to wisdom through the creation of your own mandala, which is a powerful tool for self-inquiry and connection to the universal.
There will be a private Facebook Group for you to connect and share throughout the week.
Session One: Initiation
I will lead you on a journey of creative self discovery and your connection to all that is. We will begin with an online presentation on the history and philosophy of mandala and I'll talk about how to use them for healing and uncovering the unconscious parts of ourselves.
There is power in doing this work in a group even if we are geographically separate, we will join our energy together around this virtual campfire by doing a deep guided journey meditation together.
After the meditation, there will be a short 10 minute break. We then come back to the session to do some initiatory sacred geometry. I will show you how to create a number of mandalas using a compass and straight edge (ruler). You will also receive links to recorded practical tutorial videos to help you along and give you ideas.
The Space in Between: 7 Days of Creation
You will then work away on your own mandala during the week at your own pace, noticing what is coming up for you during the process. I recommend taking the time to work alone in a space set up for this purpose. I'll talk more about that in session one. Notice what happens throughout the week, in terms of events, synchronicities and of course dreams.
Session Two: The Power of Being Witnessed
We will reconvene on Zoom seven days later to share our mandalas and our experiences with each other. We will do a guided meditation together to begin, and then you can share your work and experiences and be witnessed in that process. There is no onus to share, you can just come into the session and witness others. Often when we work in groups, things come up for others that have messages for us too. I feel the group shares an energy and becomes a mandala all of it's own.
*You can work on your mandala with whatever materials you feel comfortable using or that you have to hand. There is more information on what you need below the images of these beautiful pieces created during recent online sessions!
What you need:
A Candle and something to light it with. We will light a candle together to connect our energies and to open the space for the creative and healing process.
Paper, card or canvas
Some good quality paper, preferably A2 size (size C in USA & Canada) if you can manage it, or A3 (Size B in USA & Canada) will be fine too. You can use card as I often do, or if you are painting, a canvas or other painting surface. You can work as big or as small as you feel comfortable with.
Compass & Ruler
A Compass, a ruler and pencil/lead - you can use a compass from the small children's geometry sets if that's what you have to hand. They work well enough, but can sometimes slip. If you find that happening, try tightening the tiny screw at the top with the tip of a knife or spoon!
If you are purchasing a compass, I would recommend getting one with a stabilizing bar similar to the photo in the header of this event page. This bar keeps the compass from slipping and also allows you to make finer movements.
Colouring Materials
You can use any materials you like for your creation. At the physical workshop, we tend to use markers, coloured pencils, metallic pens, gel pens etc. as I often don't have the setup to use paints. So you might have these materials around your home already.
As you are in your own home and you have seven days in which to create your piece(s), if you would like to try painting your mandala, again, you can use whatever materials you would like. When I paint, I tend to use acrylics and occasionally watercolour. Oils for me personally take too long to dry between stages!
Here is a short video on the materials and compasses that I tend to use.
Also have comfy blanket to wrap around yourself during the meditations.
On the Friday before each session, I will send you the Zoom link to the online session and more information.
I'm really looking forward to spending a nourishing creative week together!

Testimonials
I found the session so relaxing and enjoyable. The meditation at the start was really lovely. I had actually been feeling rather depressed earlier after hearing the latest Covid-19 stats and the recent non-stop bad news, but I feel so much better now. Thanks a million!
Susan, Dublin
I really enjoyed this Mandala Workshop :-) I found it so very interesting, informative and also with the meditation, helped put me in a very soft, gentle place with no pressure or expectations. I found Patricia to be a great teacher, with so many examples and explanations of mandalas and their relationships to Sacred Geometry and different cultures including Tibetan monks - whom I had seen in Trinity College, years ago, making a sand mandala and then on another day we joined many people following the monks to the Liffey, into which the sand was let fall.
Since then I have had a passing interest, but now, with Patricia’s explanations, interest and enthusiasm I hope to pursue this wonderful art form. This workshop was a real treat . Many thanks Patricia and I hope to meet with you sometime and to let you know you are a real inspiration and I enjoyed so much your presentation. My first time on Zoom and I’m Buzzing :-) xx

Myself and my partner really enjoyed the workshop last night. We really liked all elements of Patricia's class; the meditation was very soothing, the presentation was really interesting, the mandala drawing tutorial was inspiring and made us both want to give it a go ourselves immediately afterwards!
