Garden of Awakening Original Painting
This painting was such a joy to create. I decided to work with The Flower of Life pattern and the colours chose themselves. The Flower of Life is one of the basic sacred geometry shapes. It begins with the Seed of Life shape which consists of seven overlapping circles that build outward, forming a flower-like pattern that has been used since ancient times in many cultures around the world. Said to be the basic template for everything in existence, all geometric forms can be found within it, including sacred geometry shapes like the Platonic Solids, Metatron’s Cube and the Merkaba.
The Flower of Life symbolises creation and reminds us of the unity of all things; we are all built from the same blueprint, from atoms to planets, from cells to plants to us! We are a part of nature and not separate from it.
I have always been drawn to the profound symbolism embedded within ancient spiritual traditions as you will know from my work. Among these symbols, the Flower of Life stands as a timeless emblem of universal harmony and interconnectedness, inviting us to explore the depths of our consciousness in order to awaken to the inherent wisdom of the cosmos.
As I was contemplating the initial seed as it grew into the flower, it seemed the natural thing to place plants and flowers around the outer ring...it almost feels like a cosmic garden in which you can awaken! It feels to embody the unity of the material and spiritual realms.
