The sacral chakra, also known as the second chakra or Svadhisthana in Sanskrit, governs emotions, creativity, and sensuality. This chakra is located along the spine, in the lower abdomen just below the naval, extending down to the top of the pelvic bowl. It is the second of the seven chakras and it's Sanskrit name translates to “one’s own dwelling.”
