Rebirth Limited Edition Print

This piece was an absolute pleasure to create. A lot of work and heart has gone into it. I fell into a beautiful stillness and peaceful state of being as I painted.

During the creative process, there was a huge feeling of rebirth…of new energy coming in to being as we crossed the threshold over the weeks from the solstice into the new year. As though a new energy was birthing, both for me personally and on a collective level. 

The background is alizarin crimson and burnt orange; beautiful colours that I purchased from Zecchi, an old family run art shop in the heart of Florence, Italy. A high seat of culture that somehow feels relevant to this piece as our culture shifts like sand beneath us.

But beneath that often challenging shifting is a structure wanting to emerge…something beautiful in the process of birthing itself. Order always wants to restore itself, and chaos is merely a vehicle for change and is not to be feared. That was the overall feeling. And I had, as always, many deep dreams accompanying the process. Too many to document in fact!

Prints are available in two sizes, framed or unframed.

• 30cm x 30cm mounted and framed with glass and white frame

• 50cm x 50cm unframed (posted rolled in a tube, so a great option for overseas)

• 50cm x 50cm mounted and framed with glass and white frame

• 50cm x 50cm tray framed (printed on a beautiful board, so no glass is necessary. No distracting reflections. A white box/tray frame surrounds the print.

**Prints may take up to two weeks to prepare, especially if being framed. So do let me know if you need it sooner and I will get in touch with my framer to see what he can do! Thank you!
