Potential Limited Edition Print

I finished this painting last year on a beautiful super moon. I love the hues of midnight blue and celestial silver and gold.

For me it feels to be about transcending the boundaries of space and time.

At its centre there is a bright full moon hanging in the starry sky, casting a gentle glow upon the surrounding cosmos of constellations that adorn the heavens.

Amidst this cosmic activity is a 12-pointed star. Our measurement of time is obviously related to the number 12. Each point represents a celestial quality , an astrological guiding force that weaves through the fabric of very existence.

This painting feels to hold secrets, tales of a forgotten age, of things that our ancestors knew well. Time itself feels fluid, flowing backward and forward, merging past, present, and future into a timeless continuum. I can feel that often these days, particularly in the dream landscape.

It also reminds me that there is so much more going on in the universe than we can possibly grasp with our limited minds, but that the whole of nature works in a rhythmic intelligence that holds us. And while the earth feels like an utter madhouse at the moment, there is order beyond the chaos. We just can’t see the pattern yet.

That thought always reassures me.
