EnSoulment Limited Edition Print

This painting painted itself...I had no idea where it was going and just went with the flow. It feels like a being of light bringing the soul into being from the higher realms. Some religious views are that ensoulment happens at the moment of conception or others believe it is when the child takes the first breath after being born; or at the formation of the nervous system and brain; at the first detectable sign of brain activity; or when the fetus is able to survive independently of the uterus (viability).

And some don't believe in a soul at all, they believe that humans are solely mechanistic. I very much believe that we have a soul. In my own experience of being pregnant with my daughter, I could feel a connection with her very early on. A beautiful bond was forming from literally the first month and there was an ancient knowing and connection to the ancestors too. The soul enters through the sacred portal of the mother's womb. This painting feels like the soul being passed gently from source/God into being in the sacred womb.

All prints are reproductions of my original works. The original piece was created using watercolour paint, gold leaf and metallic pens on Fabriano paper.

Prints are available in two sizes, framed or unframed.
