Metatron's Garden

Picture
The painting that you see above is called 'Metatron's Garden' and it's a big one, measuring 120cm x 80cm. As well as being big in size, it was big in energy and my dreams have been very strong and healing since.

Metatron’s Cube is more than just a symbol, it is a powerful tool that can be used to access the infinite knowledge of the universe.

This geometric pattern has been revered by many for centuries and holds a special place in the hearts of those who seek to connect with the divine. The cube is named after the archangel Metatron, who is said to be the scribe of God and the keeper of the Akashic Records. These records contain all of the knowledge and experiences of every soul that has ever existed, making them an invaluable resource for anyone seeking spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Metatron’s Cube is made up of 13 circles (feminine) taken from the flower of life, that are interconnected in a specific pattern by straight lines (masculine). This pattern is said to contain the building blocks of the universe and can be used to bring balance and alignment to the body and mind.

This geometry of the cube itself is considered sacred. The 13 circles represent the 13 archangels, while the lines connecting them represent the pathways between heaven and earth. The circles represent the feminine energy and the straight lines the masculine energy, meaning that meditating on this shape brings these inner aspects of self into harmony. 13 is also a key number in nature. There are 13 moons in the year, 13 weeks in a season...this much maligned number is not to be feared in the least. Interestingly, many apparitions of the Virgin Mary occurred on the 13th day of the month. It is very much a number of the feminine archetype/divinity.

The cube is also contains the five Platonic solids: the tetrahedron, the cube, the octahedron, the icosahedron and the dodecahedron, shapes that are considered to be the building blocks of the universe. These shapes represent the five elements of earth, fire, water, air and aether (spirit).

It felt fitting in this painting to place Metatron’s Cube, which emanates from the flower of life, into a beautiful wild garden which feels otherworldly.

This shape has so much to teach us. Indeed many books have been written about it. Having it in your space will consistently connect you to these energies when and as you are ready to deal with each aspect. That has certainly been my personal experience with it.

Metatron's Garden measures 120cm x 80cm and is available for sale. It costs €1990 and as always I am always open to people paying in instalments if that works best. Email me if you would like to give this painting a forever home.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you in person or online either at our evening in Marlay or at one of the workshops!

Golden Light

Picture
The painting I am sharing with you in this post has been created using Gold Leaf...it is a tedious process initially and needed layers of sealant and patient waiting between coats before I could finally dive into the actual painting. But oh boy was it worth it!

It was quite a different process as usually I would place the gold accents on towards the end of the painting process. But with this piece, I gilded the whole canvas with gold leaf initially, sealed it numerous times and then began painting. So I had to ensure that I didn’t cover up the gold too much. It feels like the parts that needed to be covered are covered.

It had me thinking that perhaps too often we cover up the gold within us. We have a tendency to hide our light under a bushel for fear of the judgement or indeed envy of others. The finished painting feels like an ornate shield, perhaps a protective amulet that allows us to shine brightly and with authenticity, yet also allowing the privacy we need.

There is a fundamental truth to geometry and I can really feel it in the oneness of this painting. Geometry does not change over time or space. It is an ultimate truth. And in these strange times where truth seems hard to find, it is a powerful and grounding process to connect in with the truth inherent in geometry. On my website, I have the quote:

"May we be guided by truth,
May we have beauty revealed to us,
May it result in the good.

Pythagorean Invocation

This is what I hope for each of us and for humanity. It's a quote that I keep close to my heart and mind. The use of number and geometry as the tools of design can be seen in the context of the search for the Beautiful, a state the soul achieves when one recognises the phenomenon of unity. When we achieve truth and beauty, goodness is the result. Truth and Beauty are needed in the world. Unity will follow.

I have named this painting ‘Golden Light” as I hope it will encourage your golden light to shine and to protect you while you get on with the important work of finding truth, beauty and goodness in your life.

'Golden Light' measures 70cm x 70cm, Gold Leaf, acrylic paint and metallic pen on deep edge Italian canvas. It costs €1490 and I’m always open to people paying in instalments if that works better for you. DM me if you would like to give “Golden Light” a forever home.

Wishing you truth, beauty and goodness in your life.
